Someone called claiming to be from my LPG provider and said my subsidy would be stopped unless I verified my Aadhaar and bank account details immediately. They requested OTP verification. Is this legitimate?
No, this is most likely a scam. Genuine LPG providers do not ask customers to share Aadhaar details, bank information, or OTPs over phone calls.
Scammers often create urgency by claiming your subsidy will be stopped unless you act immediately.
Do not share any OTP, banking details, or personal information. Contact your LPG provider directly using their official customer care number to verify the claim. If you suspect fraud, report it to the Cyber Crime Helpline (1930).
