Bought a digital marketing course from an Instagram ad for Rs 25,000. Creator promised “6-month course + lifetime access.” Got welcome email with fake login, videos won’t load. DM the creator—account deleted. No refund.
Scammers use stolen testimonials, fake Instagram followers, and delete accounts after taking money. The “courses” have no real content. DO THIS: 1) Take screenshots of the Instagram ad, email, and non-working course access, 2) Attempt bank chargeback/reversal (within 90 days for most methods), 3) Report the course platform if it exists. CONTACT: Your payment method’s dispute team + cybercrime.gov.in with Instagram handle (even if deleted) + report to Instagram’s fraud team.
