Received call claiming to be from my credit card company. Said my card is “compromised” and needs to be unblocked. Asked for 16-digit card number, CVV, and expiry. I started giving details before getting suspicious. Have I been hacked?

IMPERSONATION FRAUD! Banks NEVER ask for CVV, card number, or expiry over phone—EVER. You’ve given scammers your full card details. CRITICAL: 1) Hang up immediately, 2) Call your card issuer’s official number (on your card) right now, 3) Request card block and replacement, 4) Monitor all transactions 24/7, 5) File fraud claim. CONTACT: Your credit card company’s fraud department IMMEDIATELY + cybercrime.gov.in with phone number + file FIR + enable transaction notifications on all accounts.
