Got a WhatsApp message with a Supreme Court logo saying I’m summoned to appear for a case and must pay Rs 25,000 as “court fee” in 24 hours to avoid warrant. The document looks real with signatures. Panicking!
FAKE COURT SUMMONS SCAM! Indian courts NEVER serve summons via WhatsApp and never demand advance fees from summoned individuals. These are digitally fabricated documents using real court logos. DO THIS: Don’t pay, verify by calling your district court’s official helpline, consult a lawyer if needed. CONTACT: File FIR at local police station + report at cybercrime.gov.in + call 1930.
