Applied for a Social Media Manager job on Indeed. Got selected over email. Now they want Rs 3,000 to “buy mandatory training material” before starting. The company has a LinkedIn page. Scam?

Legitimate employers NEVER charge for training materials. Scammers create fake LinkedIn pages to appear credible. DO THIS: Don’t pay, call the company via number on their official website (not the one given to you). CONTACT: Report to LinkedIn + Indeed + cybercrime.gov.in.
