Booked a flight on a website that looked like a real airline. Paid Rs 8,000 but received no confirmation email for hours. Then I got two charge notifications on my card. The website now shows “server error.”
Real airline sites have HTTPS locks, official domains, and instant confirmations. Act now: 1) Contact your bank immediately to report the duplicate charge and initiate a refund, 2) Check your card for any unauthorized transactions, 3) Contact the actual airline directly to confirm if a ticket was issued, 4) Enable transaction alerts on your card. Contact: Your bank’s fraud department + NCRP (cybercrime.gov.in) with payment screenshots.
