I received a call from someone claiming to work for a courier company. They asked me to install a tracking application through a link sent via WhatsApp. Is this normal?

No, this is not normal. Legitimate courier companies do not ask customers to install apps through WhatsApp links for parcel tracking.

Such apps may contain malware that can steal personal information, banking details, or OTPs from your device.

Do not install the application or click any links. Use the courier company’s official website or app to track shipments. If you have already installed the app, uninstall it immediately and report the incident to the Cyber Crime Helpline (1930).
