Got SMS from “FedEx India” saying my parcel is stuck at customs and I need to pay Rs 1,200 via a link. I never ordered anything from abroad. The tracking link looks legit. Is this real?

This is called smishing (SMS phishing). Legitimate courier companies never demand customs payment via SMS links. The link will either steal your card details or install malware. DO THIS: Don’t click the link, don’t pay, verify directly on FedEx’s official website (fedex.com/in) using your actual tracking number. CONTACT: Forward the SMS to your telecom provider’s spam number + report at cybercrime.gov.in.
