Scanned QR code at a petrol pump to pay. Got UPI confirmation but petrol pump owner says no payment received. Now I see Rs 3,000 debited to an unknown account. What happened?
FAKE QR CODE SCAM! Scammers paste counterfeit QR codes over genuine ones at petrol pumps, shops, and restaurants. Your payment went to a fraudster’s account. URGENT ACTION: 1) Screenshot the UPI transaction, 2) Report to your bank immediately for reversal, 3) Report to petrol pump management. CONTACT: File complaint at cybercrime.gov.in + call 1930 + report UPI fraud to your bank’s fraud cell.
