Joined a Telegram group claiming to share “SEBI-registered research tips.” Followed their tips on a specific stock — lost Rs 3 lakhs. Group admin has now restricted my messages. Scam?
No research analyst guarantees profits. “Pump and dump” groups manipulate stocks and exit leaving investors with losses. DO THIS: Check if the analyst is SEBI-registered on sebi.gov.in/sebiweb/other/OtherAction.do?doRecognisedFpi=yes. CONTACT: File complaint on SEBI SCORES portal (scores.gov.in) + cybercrime.gov.in + file FIR at local police.
