I booked a hotel through a website that offered an attractive discount. After arriving at the property, the hotel staff informed me that no booking existed under my name. What should I do?
This could be a fake booking website or a fraudulent reservation. First, keep all booking confirmations, emails, payment receipts, and screenshots as evidence.
Contact the booking website immediately and request clarification or a refund. Also verify whether the payment was processed by a legitimate travel provider.
If you believe you were scammed, report the incident to the Cyber Crime Helpline (1930) and contact your bank if a card or online payment was used.
