Got selected for a job after just email interviews (no video call). They’re asking me to send copies of Aadhar, PAN, and bank details for “background check” before day one. Is this normal?

Legitimate companies conduct video interviews and never ask for original documents (Aadhar, PAN, bank details) before employment starts. This is an identity theft scam. They’ll use your documents to open fraudulent accounts. Protect yourself: Don’t send any documents, verify the company’s official email/website, call the HR department directly. Contact: Report to cybercrime.gov.in with job posting links and email screenshots.
