Got WhatsApp call from “KBC team” saying my number won Rs 25 lakh in KBC lucky draw. They want Rs 15,000 as “TDS/tax payment” before releasing prize. Do lottery winners pay tax first?

KBC LOTTERY SCAM! KBC (Kaun Banega Crorepati) contacts winners ONLY on-show — never via WhatsApp. Tax is DEDUCTED from prize, never paid upfront. DO THIS: Disconnect, block the number, don’t pay. CONTACT: Report to cybercrime.gov.in + Sony TV’s official fraud helpline + call 1930.
