Connected with a “recruiter” on LinkedIn offering Rs 1.5 lakh/month work-from-home job. Sent “video interview link” but it looks suspicious. Also asking for Aadhar before interview. Red flags?
Scammers create fake recruiter profiles and interview links that are actually malware/phishing pages designed to steal personal data or install ransomware. Real interviews use Zoom/Teams with verified company accounts. RED FLAGS: Too-good salary + personal info requests before interview + suspicious links = SCAM. DO THIS: 1) Don’t click the interview link, 2) Don’t send Aadhar, 3) Block the recruiter, 4) Report the profile to LinkedIn. 5) Verify the company by calling their HR on official number. CONTACT: Report to LinkedIn + cybercrime.gov.in with recruiter profile/job posting + your local cyber police with link details.
