Booked flight on a site advertising “Exclusive Skyscanner Deals.” Paid Rs 12,000 via Google Pay. Got no confirmation, tried to log in—site now shows “server maintenance.” Link in my SMS is also dead. Did I lose money?

Fake travel sites take your money and disappear. You likely won’t get a ticket. ACT FAST: 1) Check with the actual airline directly (call their number) to see if a ticket was issued under your name. 2) If NOT—contact your bank immediately for reversal (UPI has 120-day window). DO THIS: Save the SMS with fake link, screenshot everything, document the website URL. CONTACT: Your bank (UPI transaction reversal) + cybercrime.gov.in with website details + report to your phone operator’s fraud cell.
