Someone is using my photo and name on social media—what should I do?

I discovered a fake account using my profile picture and posting in my name. They’re messaging my friends pretending to be me. This is freaking me out.
This is identity theft and impersonation. Act fast: 1) Screenshot all evidence, 2) Report the fake account to the platform (Instagram/Facebook), 3) Inform your friends immediately about the fraud, 4) Change all your passwords, 5) Enable two-factor authentication. Contact: File a complaint at your local cyber police station or cybercrime.gov.in with screenshots as proof.
