Saw viral Instagram/YouTube ad about earning Rs 50K monthly by doing online surveys for brands. They’re asking me to “register” on their portal (paid Rs 499) and join their WhatsApp group. Lots of testimonials. Is this real?
Fake survey sites use fake testimonials, celebrity deepfakes, and paid ads to recruit people. They don’t pay; they steal personal data. Real survey sites don’t charge registration fees. RED FLAGS: Guaranteed high income + testimonials + paid ads = SCAM. DO THIS: 1) Don’t pay registration, 2) Don’t join the WhatsApp group, 3) Report the Instagram/YouTube ad, 4) Block the account. CONTACT: Report the ad to Instagram/YouTube + cybercrime.gov.in with the portal link/screenshots + warn friends/family.
